COMPANY FORMATION & BUSINESS CARD
The Task
- Form groups of 4 - 5 people/group.
- Give your group/company a unique commercial name to reflect the company’s business activities to be carried out. Your company MUST be an IT-based company. Refer to the slide (“How to choose a Good Company Name”) as a guide.
- Register the names of the company’s Board of Directors (BoD) with each Director holding equal shares except the CEO.
- Select a CEO / MD for your company. The CEO will be responsible for the future success or failure of the company. He/she ought to have strong leadership qualities, visionary & responsible who could bring your company to greater heights.
- Register your company at the Registrar of Companies (ROC)/SSM àin Class.
- Assign positions/roles to each member (CEO, CFO, COO, CTO, CMO, CRO, CIO etc). Each member should be assigned to positions according to their qualification, skills & relevant experience. You could create any position according to your company’s need.
- Prepare a Business Card (draft) for each member of your company. Your card should contain the necessary information to represent yourself & the company. Be creative in the design. Once the card has been presented (make several prints) in class, you may print it out for later use.
- This card will be used when you conduct an interview session in your next assignment

Attention CEO: Make sure every Director in your company comes to office/class
on time. Any delay could cause future loss to the company!
